Which does our model score gentler?

We're not saying one item is better for you than another. We're saying what our model scores from the ingredients each company publishes. GASP estimates how likely a food is to give you wind, urgency or loose output — which isn't the same thing as healthy.

Why these pairs and not others

Nothing is hand-picked. Every round is generated from the same scores the rest of the site uses, and a pair only becomes a question when both sides are plausible — water against a thickshake isn't a guess anybody gets wrong, so it never appears. What's left is far enough apart to be a real difference and close enough that instinct can go the wrong way.

How close counts depends on the round. Across a whole catalogue two points apart makes a good question; between two burgers it can still come down to a point or two, because every burger on both menus sits between 4.1 and 8.8 — and most of them cluster in the middle of that. Where the gap comes from is worth more than the gap itself.

The line under each answer is read off the score's own axes rather than written by hand, so it can't drift from the number above it. Correct a score and the questions change with it.
